Gaither Homecoming artist Lynda Randle waited four years for inspiration to make another contribution to southern gospel. Then along came “‘Til the Storm Passes,” the title track of her new album, to inspire her. The result is a smattering of originals and old favorites, some with completely new vision and others made fresh solely by her powerful alto. The album’s real gems lie in those tracks that veer away from traditional gospel elements in favor of a sound not too removed from bluegrass, most notably “He Is There,” featuring Randle’s brother Michael Tait, former member of dc Talk and now lead singer of Newsboys.
