As we head into Father's Day Weekend, a few posts from the blogging world worth reading:

My friend and fellow blogger/author Margot Starbuck wrote a post for her.meneutics today: Searching for Abba on Father's Day. Margot describes her adoption as a young girl, the struggles she faced later in trying to figure out whether she was indeed beloved by anyone, and her ultimate discovery that God's love is real and personal, for her.

My friend Sara Hagerty writes about adoption too. They've adopted a girl and boy from Ethiopia (Eden and Caleb, two of the cutest kids ever–in spirit as well as appearance), and they are in the process of adopting two other girls. One of those girls, Lily, asked recently "What's a Mommy?" Click here to read Sara's reflection on that question. My answer–a mommy is a person who loves you as much as she possibly can. Sometimes she is able to take care of everything you need, and sometimes she isn't. But always, she loves you and she shows it by trying to take care of you and love you again. How would you answer Lily's question?
