As reporters and others cull through Sarah Palin's emails of the past few years, one has surfaced that demonstrates her thoughts and feelings before she gave birth to Trig, her youngest son, who was born with Down syndrome: "How Sarah Palin Imagined God Talking to Her..."

A recent report indicates that 15 Percent of People Worldwide have Disabilities:

Across the world, people with disabilities have poorer health outcomes, lower education achievements, less economic participation and higher rates of poverty than people without disabilities," leaders of the World Health Organization and the World Bank wrote in a preface to the report. "This is partly because people with disabilities experience barriers in accessing services that many of us have long taken for granted, including health, education, employment and transport as well as information. These difficulties are exacerbated in less advantaged communities.

And the Boston Globe reports on recent advances in prenatal testing. I've written about these developments before ("Sometimes It's Good Not to Have a Choice"), but this article reports that these tests will be widely available within the next year.
