Overview

Plants of different colors, sizes, and objectives can be found in the average garden. Some provide food for the table while others are for more aesthetic purposes-bound for vases, perhaps, or for bouquets for a sweetheart. Each garden is designed and planted according to the intent of the gardener. Combinations of uniqueness and similarity can be found within its borders, all serving the gardener's purpose.

God has intentionally designed his church in a similar way. It is comprised of people who have the common bond of being followers of his Son, Jesus Christ, yet who in themselves are both like and unlike one another. As members of the body of Christ, we are part of a larger family, yet we are each individually God's peculiar handiwork.
