Top tracks: "Rules of Engagement," "Organized Lie," "They Were Ones"

Living Sacrifice died for a bit, splitting up in 2005 after almost two decades. But those rose again in the third year, re-convening in early '08. Now here's their "comeback album," which plays like a greatest hits record of all new music. The band has played with many metal styles, and this album has them all. Through the first six tracks, LS doesn't let off the pedal, making each song a driving momentous force. "The Reconing" and "Love Forgives" bring out their melodic side, influenced by guitarist Rocky Gray's side project Soul Embraced. After their retirement, fans wondered if LS would live up to its rich history, but they're still at the top of their game.
