Sounds like: Heartfelt acoustic pop; compare to Damien Jurado, David Bazan, Mark Kozelek

Top tracks: "Eucharist," "Hearing Voices Seeing Ghosts," "Suzanne"

Though it has been six years since the release of the last album by singer/songwriter Deeble, the time has dulled neither his melodic sensibilities nor his astounding lyrical abilities an iota. Overall, Hearts is a restrained affair, making sure to not let Deeble's hushed voice get overpowered by arrangements that center on cello, tasteful guitar melodies, and brushed drums. The power comes solely of Deeble's words, which, on the title track, takes inspiration from the writings of G. K. Chesterton to speak to his own artistic yearnings, and on "Eucharist" seeks solace for his wounded soul in the sacrament.
