Style: Worshipful pop/rock; compare to Christy Nockels, Cindy Morgan, Laura Story
Top tracks: "Say My Name," "Let Go," "If It Leads Me Back"
A one-time linguistics major at Moody Bible Institute and worship leader at suburban Chicago megachurch Harvest Bible Chapel has now gone full-time contemporary pop. It's easy to pick up on her background in praise throughout this project, but there are also plenty of personal reflections, including the ballad "Let Go" about earlier battles with an eating disorder. Cindy Morgan adds her co-writing prowess to the title track, and McCaul could learn a bit from the veteran, aiming to be more adventurous with her sometimes pedestrian production and arrangements.
