James Bobin is in talks to direct the sequel to Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland (2010). Bobin is probably best known for having directed The Muppets and the HBO TV series Flight of the Conchords. Alice took Oscars for both art direction and costume design in 2011 and grossed $1 billion worldwide. The sequel bears the working title Into the Looking Glass. Read more here.

Non-Stop, starring Liam Neeson, has announced the movie is set to release February 21, 2014. The action flick follows Neeson's character, a US federal air marshal, on a plane trip from New York to London, during which he receives text messages from a terrorist threatening to kill passengers if his demand that $150 million be transferred to an anonymous bank account are not met. Johnny Depp has left the Whitey Bulger mob project, Black Mass. A Cross Creek production, Depp has been committed to the film since February. It's unknown why he dropped, but rumor is that it had to do with a suggested salary cut. The film is based on the book Black Mass: The True Story of the Unholy Alliance Between the FBI and the Irish Mob by Dick Lehr and Gerard O'Neil. The production team is seeking a replacement now. Disney has released a full schedule of the release dates for all its Pixar-animated films between now and 2018. Though not all titles have been announced, some to keep an eye out for are Frozen, staring Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell, opening November 27, Inside Out, helmed by Pete Doctor (Toy Story and Up), opening June 19, 2015, and a sequel to the hugely successful Finding Nemo titled Finding Dory, opening November 25, 2015.
