A few months ago I post this on Facebook and Twitter, “When ISIS Islamist militants kidnap 100 non-Muslim women, it is as horrible as you are thinking. #RealWarOnWomen.” I had some pushback on Twitter and Facebook, complaining about different things, including that it was thoughtless, etc. (for example, see this Facebook post).
However, there is a real war on women. It’s all over the world and, yes, it’s horrible when Islamist militants are involved. And we should not be afraid to tell stories like this one.
