On November 17-19, right here in the Music City (or Nashvegas as I like to call it), I will gather with pastors and church leaders from across the country at the beautiful new Music City Center for WFX Nashville. Listen to how the conference organizers describe the gathering:
Be Empowered. Together.
WFX emboldens churches of all sizes and traditions to think creatively about how they can unleash the power of their staff, buildings and technology to reach more people for Christ.
Education and training on new tools and technologies, meaningful networking, and exposure to innovative ideas for ministry and management are all a part of the inspiration, guidance and support offered to attendees.
WFX gathers together a large, diverse group of leaders to challenge, inspire, encourage and educate in order to help them more effectively advance the gospel, and I love any group that’s trying to be on mission and help others be on mission too. I’m going to be speaking as a keynote speaker, but this WFX is also hosting a one-day Pastor’s Forum so that pastors, and specifically Senior Pastors, can be equipped as well.
This pastor track is an exciting opportunity for you to learn and hang out in one of the coolest cities in America.
Who wouldn’t want to do both of those things? ;-)
Here’s how WFX describes their Pastor’s Forum:
Pastors know that iron sharpens iron, but it is often a challenge for them to find a community of church leaders with which to share and learn. The WFX Pastor’s Forum is a full day of immersive and meaningful discussions led by respected church thought leaders, including the forum’s host, Ed Stetzer, Executive Director of LifeWay Research.
The development of this featured offering is a response to the needs outlined above, and to the questions that are ever-present on a pastor’s mind: How do you multiply leaders? How do you build a disciple-making process? How do you inspire and teach people to truly connect to their communities and the church’s mission and vision?
“At its core, the day’s agenda sets out to examine what it really looks like to effectively serve people and reach the world,” says Stetzer.
Additionally, in light of research indicating that growth in 75% of U.S. churches is plateaued or declining, the forum will provide guidance and resources for church revitalization.
Pastors will be inspired and challenged in this multi-denominational forum where, with their peers, they can explore how best to serve, lead, inspire and engage their staffs and congregations to fulfill the Great Commission daily.
I’ll be speaking on Missional Ministry in Your Church, Kyle Idleman will speak on Be the Branch; A Pastor’s Primary Responsibility, Gabe Lyons will speak about Leading a Culture-Shaped Church and my coworker Micah Fries will speak on Creating a Culture of Multiplication.
I would really encourage you to consider making plans to join us for this event in Nashville. I think it could be a real help to you and your ministry.
