Does the consummation in Revelation suggest that work will cease? Tom Nelson's study of the subject has led him to believe that we have an inadequate understanding of work and rest as it relates to eschatology and the new heavens and new earth. He references the parable of the talents and the stewards' faithfulness - and subsequent increased responsibilities - as hints that we will "live the life we were designed to live way back in the garden in this new garden city."
