Amy L. Sherman: Discipleship and Vocation
In order for discipleship to be effective, it must address vocation.
posted January 6, 2015

Citing that we often operate with a "functional sacred-secular divide," Amy L. Sherman touts discipleship that marries faith and vocation, whether that vocation is ministry- or marketplace-related. She also mentions the benefits and shortcomings of marketplace ministries, including their emphasis on ethics, evangelism and excellence. While these three dimensions are important, she suggests they pertain more to the worker rather than the work itself.
