Jakes has two syndicated television projects in development, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/news\/td-jakes-developing-two-shows-732338\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">one a daily show, the other a weekly<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\t<li>At age 14, she was taken from her family and given to an ISIS commander as a bride. Then <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.godreports.com\/2014\/09\/14-year-old-girl-given-as-gift-to-isis-commander-escapes\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">she and a friend escaped<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\t<li>It&#39;s called <em>lateral<\/em> leadership, defined as &quot;leading your peers, those you serve alongside but don&rsquo;t report to, and <a href=\"http:\/\/ericgeiger.com\/2014\/09\/3-tips-leading-laterally\/#.VBX_r1eRMTA\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">they don&rsquo;t report to you either<\/a>.&quot;<\/li>\n\n\t<li>Pope Francis shook things up last week by performing weddings for <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.reuters.com\/faithworld\/2014\/09\/14\/pope-francis-marries-couples-who-have-cohabited-had-children\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">couples who had been previously living together<\/a>, some of whom had children.<\/li>\n\n\t<li>Hillsong made the New York Times, complete with a quotation from the Rev. Dr. Albert Mohler Jr. that <a href=\"http:\/\/mobile.nytimes.com\/2014\/09\/10\/us\/hillsong-megachurch-with-a-beat-lures-a-young-flock.html\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">they water down the gospel<\/a> &#8230;<\/li>\n\n\t<li>&#8230; But one church planter thinks the move by churches back into cities like NYC is somewhat <a href=\"http:\/\/www.christianpost.com\/news\/are-church-planters-skirting-inner-city-life-for-the-sexy-urban-mission-field-126275\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">selective when it comes to neighborhoods<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\t<li>A few like-minded linkers this week noted this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ligonier.org\/events\/2015-caribbean-study-cruise\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">upcoming theology cruise<\/a> to the Eastern Carribean. Beats a seminary classroom, I suppose.
