Not many weird religious news stories this week; try to do something stupid over the next few days, okay?<\/em><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>According to a CNN story, the head of Christian Copyright Licensing Inc. claims that <a href=\"http:\/\/religion.blogs.cnn.com\/2013\/10\/20\/exclusive-look-at-chris-tomlins-latest-music-video\/?hpt=hp_c3\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Chris Tomlin is the most prolific songwriter<\/a> in the United States right now.<\/li>\n<li>Personally, I thought my <a href=\"http:\/\/paulwilkinson.wordpress.com\/2013\/10\/19\/holy-spirit-falls-on-strange-fire-conference\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">alternative ending to John MacArthur&#8217;s Strange Fire Conference<\/a> would have been an interesting touch &#8230;<\/li>\n<li>&#8230; but of course, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.religionnews.com\/2013\/10\/18\/john-macarthur-vs-mark-driscoll-megachurch-pastors-clash-charismatic-theology\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">truth is always stranger than fiction<\/a>.  While I first read about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dennyburk.com\/mark-driscoll-crashes-the-strange-fire-conference-and-hands-out-books-security-confiscates-them\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Mark Driscoll crashing the party<\/a>, I&#8217;d not heard James MacDonald&#8217;s name mentioned <a href=\"http:\/\/mennoknight.wordpress.com\/2013\/10\/19\/driscoll-macdonald-strange-fire-and-leslie-nielsen\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">until this<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Two pieces on the subject of porn: Eric Simmons at Desiring God with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.desiringgod.org\/blog\/posts\/i-hate-porn\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">I Hate Porn<\/a>, and Tim Challies offering some preventative measures with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.challies.com\/christian-living\/the-porn-free-family\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">The Porn-Free Family<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Did you see marathon swimmer Diana Nyad talking to Oprah?
