But Meacham also adds, &ldquo;There is no doubt, however, that the Lincoln of the White House years became more religiously inclined, attending services with some regularity and meeting with ministers and congregants.&rdquo; Lincoln became more convinced of the sovereign purposes of a God who oversees world events.<\/p>\n\n<p>At one point. Lincoln said, &ldquo;I may not be a great man.
