Based on research and his own experiences, Andy Crouch designates and describes the four postures that Christians historically have adopted toward culture. The four Cs, so to speak, include condemning, critiquing, copying and consuming. While the postures are not entirely futile, they perhaps perform better as gestures used with discernment.
