Kate Harris: The Greatness of God

Why the greatness of God is essential to navigating and enduring the toil of work.

Leadership Journal June 15, 2015

Kate Harris of the Washington Institute for Faith, Vocation, and Culture discusses how the greatness of God has the potential to profoundly impact the way we engage with jobs or vocations – or portions thereof or responsibilities therein – that we dislike. Even though it can be easy to ignore God when toil seems suffocating, Kate argues that a "sufficiently big view of God is our best anchor to reality" and that the greatness of God "helps us grow in understanding of what God is really like." We can then further discern what God is calling us to in the midst of hardship, struggle, and weariness.
