SONY MUSIC CANADA ENTERTAINMENT INC.

Top tracks: “The Hymns Medley,” “Deeper,” “My Testimony”

Still riding high from the history-making success of 2007’s “Never Would Have Made It”—the longest-running No. 1 in Billboard singles history—Sapp’s latest live set expertly tracks more of the star’s urban-gospel goodness. Still working through the 2010 death of his manager and wife of 22 years, Sapp uses I Win as a lyrical platform to express his pain and proclaim his faith. Add convicted vocals and song leadership, keen R&B and urban arrangements, and an obviously convicted heart for worship, and I Win is as strong of a recording as any in his best-selling, twenty-year discography.
