AppointedLes Steckel, as president/ CEO of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Steckel, a former National Football League head coach of the Minnesota Vikings, succeeds Dal Shealy, who will direct the FCAs new football coaches ministry. The FCA has groups meeting on nearly 8,000 junior high, high school, and college campuses.

AppointedJ.R. Whitby, as president and CEO of Gospel Communications International (formerly Gospel Films). Whitby, an ordained Southern Baptist minister who has served in several managerial capacities since joining Gospel Communications since 1988, succeeds Billy Zeoli. Zeoli was president of the media ministry for 41 years. Zeoli will join Doug DeVos as co-chair of the board of directors. Among its other ministries, Gospel Communications operates a large Christian website, www.gospelcom.net.

ResignedGary Edmonds, as secretary general of the World Evangelical Alliance. The WEA is a global network of 7 regional and 124 national evangelical alliances. Edmonds, who became secretary general in July 2002, accepted the position of executive director of Churches Together, a ministry that links North American and African churches in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Geoff Tunnicliffe has been appointed as the interim international coordinator for the WEA. Tunnicliffe, director of global initiatives for the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada, is on the North American Council of WEA.
