Top tracks: “From You to Me,” “Time After Time,” “The Sound of Silence”

Husband and wife duo Derek Webb and Sandra McCracken pay tribute to their home state on the short but sweetly folky TN EP. Their harmonies are as complementary as their wedding rings, but Sandra outshines her husband whenever she takes lead vocal duties. Two of the highlights are covers of pop classics—Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time” and a uniquely inspired reinterpretation of Simon & Garfunkel’s somber ’60s hit “The Sound of Silence.” The couple’s lyrics are pensive and poignant, securing a place alongside other “cool married Christian duos” like Over the Rhine and Welcome Wagon.
