With less than a week until the highly anticipated release of Gone Girl, NPR has the first look at full songs from the soundtrack (composed by Trent Reznor, who also teamed up with director David Fincher on The Social Network) here. And Indiewire has the first full clip here. The novel adapted adult thriller releases October 3—and, rest assured, we’ll have a review that day, too.

We found out in June that a mash-up of Django and Zorro will be the basis for the sequel to Django Unchained. Indiewire recently released more details and the first cover images for the Tarantino project. This week also made way for the announcement of a new adaption of All Quiet on the Western Front, to be directed by Roger Donaldson. Variety has the details here.

Big Brother fans either celebrated or lamented the win of Derrick Levasseur this week. Either way, diehards can rest happily with the CBS announcement of at least two more (the 17th and 18th) seasons to come. Also, Peter Pan Live! airs on NBC this December, but they just released the first images of Christopher Walken as Captain Hook. Find out why The A.V. Club is less than charmed by the character here.

HBO has slowly released the lead actors for the forthcoming season of True Detective. Variety gives the details, but here’s a spoiler: in an effort to shed her rom-com identity, Rachel McAdams plans to take on a female lead role.
