In Search of a Better Place

I read about two teenagers in Chicago who wanted to prove their love for each other. They went to the top of a six story building, kissed each other, and jumped off. They left a note saying, "We're looking for a better place." The girl was killed. The boy was seriously injured. I thought, I wish someone had told them there is a better place. Earth is a better place when Christ comes and lives within. Heaven is a better place. You don't have to jump off the roof of a building. Dostoyevsky, the great Russian novelist said, "Surely I haven't suffered simply that I may manure the soil of the future for someone else.'"
