A Crown of Splendor

My son recently concluded that my gray hair was like a dried-up pen, and I needed a "refill." Sensitive about my appearance, I decided to color my hair. As I awaited my "new look," I read my Bible. Ironically, that day's verse was (Proverbs 16:31): "Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained by a righteous life." I realized I was so concerned about going gray that I'd forgotten that God looks at my heart. Just as my silvery "crown" will return without continual "refills," my heart would run dry without a daily refill from God.
