Reggie Joiner: Preoccupied with the Missing

When responding to sinners, are we preoccupied with ourselves or with those who are lost?

Leadership Journal October 1, 2010

Reggie Joiner says the parable of the Prodigal Son reveals two different ways to respond to sinners. The older brother is preoccupied with himself while the loving father is preoccupied with his missing son. As churches we must learn to see sinners the way a loving father sees his lost son. That means having a heart that is always thinking and concerned for those who are lost, rather than being focused on ourselves and our churches.
