Skye Jethani: What We Do Now Matters

How we view the future determines the value we place on vocation.

Leadership Journal August 17, 2015

Pointing to Christ's resurrected body as an example of both discontinuity (when things change) and continuity (when things remain the same), Skye Jethani discusses eschatology and the theology of vocation. For example, when we believe that only the future matters, we discredit any calling that isn't related to evangelism and ministry. Skye posits instead that vocation contains elements of discontinuity and continuity, meaning that what we do now really does matter in light of eternity.
