Donald Trump Doesn’t Need Forgiveness

At the Family Leadership Summit, Donald Trump spoke about his faith. He told the audience that he was a Christian, he goes to church, and that he loves God. When asked about seeking forgiveness from God, the Donald replied, "I am not sure I have. I just go on and try to do a better job from there. I don't think so," he said. "I think if I do something wrong, I think, I just try and make it right. I don't bring God into that picture. I don't." Trump said that he participates in Communion as often as possible and sees that as a way he asks for forgiveness.

Possible Preaching Angle:

Okay, so it's easy to pick on Donald Trump, but sometimes Christians with much better theology seem to live the same way. Forgiveness? Nah, I'll just fix it myself.
