NBA Star Stephen Curry Plays by Different Rules

Steph Curry, one of the best basketball players to ever play in the NBA, is known for living out his Christian faith on and off the court. His mom, also a strong Christian, mentioned one way that his Christian faith has affected how he plays pro basketball:

In the NBA, a lot of people play with a chip on their shoulder, and that's what motivates them. They need to feel disrespected. But Steph has always been fueled only by the love of the game. He doesn't need to be angry. … A lot of people along the way have expected and even needed him to have a hard edge, to be more of a nasty person.

Instead, as the author of the article notes, Curry's Christian faith inspires him to play not by anger but by another quality Curry has in abundance—joy.
