She later told a reporter, "All I could see was the fog … I think if I could have seen the shore, I would have made it." In reality she was very close to the shore when she quit. Fortunately she was successful at her next attempt and has set an example for generations to come.
But know this, even in the fog, when we have a transformed mind, it means we begin to think like Jesus, and when we think like him we know he is always with us, even if we can't see very far in front of us. In him we realize that all things are possible.
