Top tracks: “We Are Here dor You,” “All My Fountains,” “Shadows”

The Passion 2011 conference, held in Atlanta in January, focused on meeting the needs of the downcast and stirring attendees to live out the gospel. The worship music is part call-to-action and part radio-friendly worship rock. The ever-present Chris Tomlin wrote songs to match the themes: “All My Fountains” is about recognizing where true joy originates. Kristian Stanfill covers a great Hillsong United tune, “Forever Reign.” One radical change: Lecrae adds a stirring rap segment to the song “Shadows” by Passion regulars David Crowder Band. Otherwise, the music is getting a little predictable.
