Style: Adult contemporary worship a la Chris Tomlin with an early Switchfoot feel
Top tracks: “Bring Me to Life,” “Maybe It’s The Last Day,” “Helpless”
Bee’s roots as a producer are evident in his sophomore album, where each song has a warm sonic blend of chiming guitars and delicate harmonies. “Bring Me to Life” displays a wonderful counter-melody vocal line from the back-up vocals, and is some of the best writing on the album. While much of the album sounds very similar to its CCM contemporaries, Bee’s voice sails over the tracks with ease, and the lyrics are genuine and uplifting: “I’m helpless, all my strength abandons me, awake my soul so I can see.”
