Cottrell possesses a singing voice that pleads, wails, and croons as well or better than anyone in the CCM world. It is one of the centerpieces of this, his latest album, and the most stirring part of this collection of worship tunes. As he has done throughout his career, Cottrell packs his voice into brash, overstuffed tunes that burst with incident and swelling emotions. The songs here that work best are those that strip away almost everything, leaving his voice to ring out and bring your mind, body, and spirit closer to the Lord.
