Top tracks: “And I (featuring Kirk Franklin),” “Shackles,” “God Bless”

Musically and vocally, Mary Mary shines. Excellent harmonies, instrumentals, production. But lyrically Go Get It is a mixed bag. The Campbell sisters praise God on the fine groove of “Shackles”: “Took the shackles off my feet so I can dance / You broke the chains now I can lift my hands / and I’m gonna praise you” as well as on “And I” (a great team-up with Kirk Franklin). But the title track implies prosperity-gospel views: “You were made to live a good life and that’s what I believe, so hit the floor say a prayer start working / you gotta do something … go get your blessing / it’s your time.”
