Motivational Speaker Zig Ziglar Dies, Now ‘Speaking With Jesus’

Former SBC vice president wrote more than 30 books, including “See You At The Top.”

Famed motivational speaker and author Zig Ziglar died today after suffering from a case pneumonia, CNN reports. He was 86 years old.

Ziglar was a Southern Baptist who served one term as First Vice President of the Southern Baptist Convention, reports Frank Lockwood. (Baptist Press provides more details.)

Ziglar was best known as a motivational guru, but he also was a prominent evangelical lay leader. Forbes characterized Ziglar’s style as having “a Southern charm and lessons grounded in Christianity.”

Zig Ziglar passed from this world today after a short bout with pneumonia. Though his time on earth has ended, he is speaking with Jesus now in his heavenly home. The angels in heaven are rejoicing and his family is celebrating a life well lived.
