John Despard - Aborting the life of a baby is NOT a medical procedure - its a medical MURDER! Viagra, plastic surgery & psychiatry do not KILL anyone - whereas abortion ABORTS ( ie murdeers) the life of a child. That is a HUGE diffference. Moreover, using your TWISTED ILLOGIC, unless one is willing to pay for the expenses of a child, its okay to murder them, & we should say nothing about it - just let the killings continue. How cruel, selfish & absurd! How can you possibly be a Christian and hold that opinion. How would YOU like it if someone had ABORTED YOUR LIFE!!!Is it not interesting that the ONLY people for abortion are for the abortion of OTHERS, while they themselves are happy they weren't aborted. What hypocrisey!!! Because of OBAMA we are now ALL going to be paying for baby murdr - He has now made us all accomplices. What a MONSTER!!!

I am not out there with a bull horn yelling at people who are going into abortion clinics, however I do believe that the abortion issue is an urgent issue and a matter of life or death. I think abortion needed to be fought through every avenue: both public and private. I don't think that it matters if there is enough "money" around to provide for a child, because I believe that God has planned out our lives and hung us in a specific generation and a specific time. I know that God provides the Psalmist says that God owns the cattle on a thousand hills. Would it be that hard for him to provide for a baby?

There are many elective procedures and medicines that are covered by healthcare. Should we be picking and choosing what is and is not covered? Should viagra be covered? How about elective plastic surgery, psychiatric care, mood enhancing drugs etc? I am personally against abortion but unless one is willing and able to pay all the expenses for a child they should not block a person's choice.

i do not think that PUBLIC money should be available for abortions but PIVATE companies certainly have free choice on what they will cover inspite of what religious people say. have to agree with a lot of what norm harris says as evangelicals forget that the unchrched world has the God given right of free choice and do not have to choose God's ways when dealing with this issue and they also forget that christians are not to force their ways upon others. being the light to the world does not mean use a hammer and force everyone to do as you want. evangelicals are to follow God & Jesus not their own ideas, desires or the secular world and if they look at the example s given in the Bible neither Jesus or the disciples forced people to follow them. the abortion issue is no different and evangelicals forget to put down the four spiritual laws long enough to sow some seeds through kindness, mercy, justice, social help via the church not the government and sans ulterior motives
