News Briefs: July 13, 1998

1. The American Center for Law and Justice has opened a European Center for Law and Justice. ECLJ has an office in London and expects to open a branch in Strasbourg, France, in the fall. The European office will have a staff of three people, led by John Warwick Montgomery. 2. Robert Sayer, 47, is the new U.S. director of Arab World Ministries of Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. Sayer replaces Bill Saal, who died of a heart attack in July 1997 at age 49. Founded in 1881 in England, Arab World Ministries has 369 missionaries in 22 countries. 3. Christian Solidarity International USA has ended its 10-year relationship with the Swiss-based Christian Solidarity International and will continue its work as Christian Freedom International. The independent organization will place more of an emphasis on the investigation and disclosure of religious persecution.
