Prostitutes Sue Christians

Evangelicals are causing a loss of income in Chile’s sex trade

An evangelical group in Concepción, Chile, has been so successful in combating the local sex trade that the local prostitutes are taking it to court, according to the online news service Ananova. “These evangelicals totally disrupt the girls’ work,” says Marisol Sacuse, adviser to the TravesChile sex workers’ group. Ananova reports that Christians have turned the city’s largest brothel into a church and rehabilitation center for sex workers. “They play really loud music first thing in the morning when the girls are sleeping in, and they harass passing clients,” complains Sacuse. “We will fight back.”
