Top tracks: “Brighter Days,” “This Is Who I Am,” “Love Is Not a Fight”

In a nutshell: Props to record execs for releasing the score rather than an “inspired by” collection—the move shows confidence in the film and its music to stand alone. It does more often than not. The vocal tracks—by Leeland, Third Day, Casting Crowns, John Waller, Grey Holiday, and Warren Barfield—are strong, and each hit the iTunes Top 100 after the film’s release. The instrumental score is moving on piano and string interludes but overdramatic on six-minute crisis scene tracks. Movie fans will find a playlist for relational healing. Others will find some sappiness, such as “While I’m Waiting” remixed with movie dialogue.
