Top tracks: “Peace Like a River,” “You Will Find Me,” “Savior”

On “Savior,” Andrew Ripp sings, “Don’t worry about me, cuz I know where I’m going when I’m gone.” Even though Ripp incorporates religious lyrics into his songs, his smart and uplifting music is better suited for a coffee shop than a church sanctuary. Combining soulful Chicago-style blues with folksy Nashville flavored bluegrass, Ripp’s latest album is unapologetically emotive college rock. After recently scoring opening slots for Ryan Cabrera and Robert Randolph and the Family Band, this talented young singer-songwriter is an emerging artist to watch on both Christian and secular pop charts.
