On its 21st live release, Hillsong unites its worship teams from Sydney, London, Stockholm, and Cape Town, including popular praise leaders like Darlene Zschech, Reuben Morgan, and Joel Houston. Though it could be considered an all-star musical session of sorts, the focus is exclusively congregational worship with a particular emphasis on hope amidst tragedy. Inspired by last summer’s shooting in Norway that claimed 70 innocent victims, the songs seek to soothe heavy hearts, split between chilling ballads and foot-stomping contemporary rockers. While the set doesn’t reinvent Hillsong LIVE’s usual formula, it’s nonetheless a passionate collection of socially-conscious expressions.
