Christianity Today August 7, 2012

Former Moody Radio personality and Angola missionary Don Cole died on Saturday, August 4, from complications due to Parkinson’s disease. He was 89.

Cole was the host of Open Line, a Moody Q&A broadcast about the Bible, for more than 25 years (1982-2008). His long bio also includes missionary work in Angola.

Collin Lambert, vice president of Moody Radio, called Cole “one of the most humble, loving, caring men I’ve ever known. … He will be truly missed.”

In honor of Cole’s legacy, Moody Radio will air an hour-long special called “Remembering Pastor Cole” tonight at 8 p.m. CST. The special is also available for live streaming here.

Moody also invites people to share stories of Cole’s influence on a Facebook memorial page.
