I hear the pickup trucks and cars,
and choppers too, which soon become
like summer mowers with their hum,
as all throughout each evening hour
they land upon the concrete tower.
I find it easy to ignore
what those incoming come here for
and everything their flying brings
when time begins to shear our wings.
