VIII Haiku

winter on its own
extra chocolate runs down
her ice cream

flurries …
snow flurries …
which card to play …

weather removing the snow cover
road signs changing
our direction

after
visiting hours
stars with more than one name

sea level
part of the ocean
carried in by the ocean

drippings into the river
missing names from the new list
on the old

early in the yard sale
all the places their souvenir coffee cups
come from

marking our places
last snowflakes
of the season
