Style: Easygoing pop for warm afternoons and background color; compare to Daniel Powter, Sheryl Crow
Top tracks: "Who I'm Gonna Be," "The Time of My Life"
The three years since FFH last released an album have been momentous for Jeromy and Jennifer Deibler, the couple at the heart of the band. They led a church in South Africa, had their second child, and dealt with Jeromy's MS diagnosis. While the lovely light pop masks the storm with the songs, they don't shy away from addressing the turmoil directly. They sing about the "cancer inside stealing my sleep," looking for peace amid the chaos of touring, and celebrating the deeper connection the two found during their self-imposed break. It's a deeply personal—and beautifully performed—record that will likely bring inspiration and solace to those going through their own trials.1
