Guests include gymnast Brody Malone in a conversation with Christianity Today president, Tim Dalrymple; swimmer Missy Franklin; and decathlete Jimmy Mellado, who now serves as the president of Compassion International.

TODAY’S GUESTS:

Brody Malone is an American artistic gymnast. He represented the United States at the 2020 and 2024 Summer Olympics and is a three-time United States national all-around champion.

Tim Dalrymple is a former national champion gymnast who turned to academia following an accident in college where he broke his neck. He studied at Stanford University, Princeton Theological Seminary, and Harvard’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, where he made suffering a key theme of his research and teaching in modern Western religious thought. Dalrymple currently serves as Christianity Today’s president and CEO.

Missy Franklin is a five-time Olympic gold medalist and multiple world record–holder in the sport of swimming. Franklin became a household name during the 2012 Olympic Games in London when she won four gold medals and one bronze medal, becoming one of the most decorated athletes of the Games. Franklin retired from competitive swimming in December of 2018.

Santiago “Jimmy” Mellado is Compassion International’s president and chief executive officer. Jimmy has a deep love and passion for the beauty and potential of local churches fulfilling their Jesus-given mandate to redeem and restore this world for His name’s sake. He was born in El Salvador and lived in seven countries throughout his childhood. His educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (cum laude) from Southern Methodist University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Jimmy is also an accomplished decathlete and had the privilege of representing El Salvador in the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games.
