Jesus, Our King

A brief meditation on remaining faithful after a door has been closed.

Today Heather shares a devotional reminder that you belong to a King. Your life is never in the hands of a single individual, organization, or opportunity. We serve a sovereign and compassionate King. And Kings usually have more information than we do. They have a broader perspective, as well as resources that their servants can’t even fathom.

Today’s Scripture can be found in Psalm 47:1-2 in the Christian Standard Bible:

“Clap your hands, all you peoples; shout to God with a jubilant cry. For the Lord, the Most High, is awe-inspiring, a great King over the whole earth.”

Every Monday for the rest of 2023, we will be facing our week together in faith. These devotional episodes will always be under ten minutes, perfect for a morning-worship meditation or as a soundtrack for your commute to work. If you enjoy these brief messages, please pass them along to encourage someone else.
