Elected • Michael Le Roy, as president of Calvin College. Le Roy, currently provost of Whitworth University, will replace retiring Gaylen Byker, president since 1995.
Died • Evelyn C. Christenson, the author and speaker on prayer who co-founded the National Prayer Committee, on November 1. She was 89.
Appointed • Mark L. Sargent, as provost and dean of faculty at Westmont College. The 30-year Christian higher-ed veteran was previously provost of Gordon College.
