Inaugurating his new label, gospel great Fred Hammond expands his famous urban worship brand by recording newcomers from his church’s Warehouse Worship band on a treasure trove of Scripture in song. Inspiring believers’ thirst for God’s Word through music, Hammond alternates verse-based tunes musically indicative of his gold-selling catalog with laid-back R&B tracks imbedded with spoken word Bible recitations. Though avant-garde for Hammond, Life in the Word will likely appeal to his large listening base and gospel fans interested in scripture-heavy messages.
