Nominated • Jason Meyer, as successor to pastor John Piper at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Meyer, 36, is a New Testament professor at Bethlehem College and Seminary.

Selected • Matt Chandler, as president of the Acts 29 church planting network. He replaces co-founder Mark Driscoll, who also withdrew from the Gospel Coalition.

Died • Robert J. Lamont, former pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh and founding board member of Christianity Today, on March 26 in Vero Beach, Florida. He was 92.
