Christianity Today May 24, 2013

The hit television series Arrested Development is finally, finally back. Netflix is releasing the fourth season this Sunday, May 26th. This comedy series follows the misfortunes of the dysfunctional Bluth family, with a fast-paced referential humor. Since its cancellation in 2006 this show has become a highly-quotable favorite. You can also gear up for the premiere by watching the earlier seasons, which are also available on Netflix.

Now is your chance to catch The Hunger Games (2012) on Netflix. The story of Katniss and her family is set in a dystopian society with a gladiator complex. The film explores themes of survival, love, and kin. Read our review here.

Abbot and Costello—need we say more? The 1949 flick Africa Screams features the classic duo on a diamond hunt in Africa. Of course, they run into all kinds of hilarious scenarios along the way. Streaming on Netflix this weekend.

Into the Wild (2007) is a biographical drama adapted from Jon Krakauer's book, which is based on the true story of Christopher McCandless. This raw film follows McCandless (played by Emile Hirsch) as he leaves home on a personal journey to brave the elements. Directed by Sean Penn. Catch it on Netflix this weekend.

Looking for something a little more highbrow? Looking for Richard (1996) is a documentary by Al Pacino on the New York revival of Shakespeare's Henry III. Directed by Sean Penn and produced by Fox Searchlight, this is an interesting commentary on the significance of Shakespeare to modern culture.
