I just returned from the biennial meeting of the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization. We heard thrilling stories of God at work around the world; but we also heard accounts of places where the soil is stony and the church is retrenching. A recent poll of key people indicates that there is interest in a U.S. meeting in the midwest. It might be held in 1979 prior to a world strategy consultation of the Lausanne Committee in 1980. I am praying that the U.S. meeting will become a reality.
